First Nite in Hanoi

Arrived in Old Quarters, Hanoi at about 7pm local time.

Found this restaurant called Golden Land a few streets away from our hotel - Sunny Hotel.

The waiter recommended some delicious local dishes. You may feast with your eyes with the pics below.

Cha Ca (pronounced as 'char-ka'), the infamous fried fish fillet with garden herbs, topped with toasted groundnuts.

Preparation of Cha Ca, stir-fried to perfection right before your eyes, aggravating more gastric juices and drools....

Grilled pork with lemongrass, with sweet rice cakes - While the grilled pork is super yummy, the sweet rice cakes turned out to be a pretty pleasant surprise!

Pork & Vege Springrolls - Simple but yet yum yum yummy. Can you see the sweet basil growing out from the springrolls?

Stir-fried Morning Glory - Such a simple 'kangkung' dish, but the feel of the crunchy freshness of this vege leads us to imagine the unspoiled environment that this vege is grown on. But, where are all the leaves?
